Our Communities Come Together When We Do God's Work!
FOCUS National Programs Director John Moxen recently asked if I would pick up 88 backpacks that were donated and packed with school supplies by the wonderful parishioners at Holy Transfiguration American Coptic Orthodox Church in Chino Hills.
As a result, I delivered the backpacks to the dedicated staff at Hope Family Resource Center in Chino Hills, whereupon the filled backpacks would be distributed to families whose children attend Ramon Junior High School.
The majority of the families at Ramon Junior High School face housing instability or fall into the low-income bracket, therefore the backpacks would truly be a blessing to these families.
In conclusion, I was happy for the opportunity to meet the generous parishioners at Holy Transfiguration and the wonderful people at Hope Family Resource Center.

FOCUS made 1800 senior citizen food boxes!
FOCUS North America served as an intermediary between the parish and the school. All parties involved were blessed. This is a great project for all ages and is scalable for large or small groups or communities.
